Habitat for Humanity has had a tremendous impact in Guatemala. It has helped over 25,000 low-income families build houses since it began its work their in 1979. With 130 employees in 17 regional offices handling sensitive data, its sophisticated operations construct around 900 houses per quarter. One of its main elements of success, however, is its ability to properly manage information.
Alexius performed a nationwide diagnostic determing the most inmediate technology threats to Habitat's operations and providing an in-depth computer-by-computer analysis of the next steps that need to be taken to guarantee the integrity of their informations systems. Using a proprietary methodology and diagnostic tool, Habitat now has the ability to improve its technology infrastructure with an objective, targeted stategy, working on the most critical indicators first and improving the less critical ones as funding arrives. This tool is based on their tangible data, which means that as improvements are made and put into the system, the diagnostic tool updates the scores to reveal the next priorities.
Habitat used this diagnostic to improve its operations and information integrity and now has a clear path towards fully secure and efficient information management.
