The Micro-Telco in a Box (MTIAB) in an integrated kit composed of basic telecommunication hardware and a set of Open Source applications and platforms. This integrated package complements the innovative franchised micro-telco model developed for the Last Mile Initiative, a small telecommunications operator for rural areas of developing countries. The platform is open to any type of TCP/IP data and voice traffic and showcases tools and applications including VoIP technology customer provisioning management, network administration, security, invoicing, accounting, and other administrative processes.
