Feasibility Study for a Criminal Case Tracking System

Done for the Supreme Court of Nicaragua

At the time the feasibility study for the Nicaraguan Justice Department took place, the entire legal system was still tracked manually, from the arrest to the trial outcome.  Alexius approached the challenge of incorporating a new digital case tracking system into the old court system.  To further complicate the study, there had been recent changes in the procedural process, involving an entirely new legal framework, which had yet to be implemented and explicitly defined.  AI’s research determined that while there were initial steps that could be taken toward an automation of case tracking, a complete system could not be implemented until the court system had enacted the new laws on procedure.
